The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has on Thursday night revealed the APC is not in any crisis, and therefore there is no problem to be sorted out.

Tinubu made this revelation at his house at the Bourdillon Street Ikoyi, Lagos shortly after a closed-door meeting he held with, Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe state who is also the caretaker committee chairman of the APC. Governor Buni led other members of the APC, National Caretaker committee to Lagos to pay homage to Tinubu.

Tinubu in his statement said, “We have no difference to be sorted out in the APC; we just had a consultation and it is how our party, the APC, would continue to be a progressive party.”
According to him, the committee is a consultation and not a reconciliation committee since nobody is fighting anybody.

The APC National Leader continued, “There are instances when you disagree, but it doesn’t mean that you cannot discuss it over and be a good example in leadership and politics.”
He explains that politics without seeming media crises would be less interesting."

However, Tinubu said the question is, are we committed to building this party and Nigeria? That’s what we are all about. “We are steering the Ship of our nation and our party in the right direction,” Tinibu said.

The former Lagos state governor added that the party leadership had a trust and respect for the chairman of the caretaker committee being the former secretary of the party, and will ensure he succeeds with the mandate placed on his shoulder for the party to continue delivering good governance to Nigerians.

Buni, the committee chairman in his remarks said that the meeting was part of the consultation the committee was making. He added, “You know the task before us is daunting, and we need guidance, experience, and prayers from our leaders.”

Meanwhile, the host governor, Babajide Sanwolu expressed his pleasure to have his colleague in the state, saying he was optimistic the discussions were fruitful.
Other party stalwarts that were present include; the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Abubakar Bagudu, Secretary of the caretaker committee, James Akpan Udo Edehe and Niger state Governor, Abubakar Bello.
