Son-in-law and Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorochas of Imo state, Uche Nwosu has said his father-in-law will not dictate to him how the affairs of the state should be managed when he becomes the governor in 2019. Nwosu who stated this in an interview on Saturday maintained that there was nothing wrong with Gov. Okorocha endorsing him as his successor, stressing that in the United States, the son of George Bush became president after the father had served in that capacity.
He also noted that after the appointment of Donald Trump's son-in-law into sensitive positions in the White House, America never went up in flames.
“This is another tool of blackmail employed by mischievous politicians who have been dislodged in the state. Some people are saying they do not want me to be governor because I am Okorocha’s son-in-law. They claimed that if I become governor, Governor Okorocha would manipulate me and tell me what to do. If tomorrow they say Uche Nwosu is the governor, Okorocha will not say, ‘let me give him a list ’ like other people do.”

George Bush was the President of the United States and after his tenure, his son became President and America never went haywire. Governor Okorocha will not impose somebody on the people. Naturally, the time will come when the people will choose who they want to govern them.”
