Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode says for the opposition to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general election, it would require courage, aggression, cohesion and ingenuity.  The Minister who stated this yesterday in series of tweets said the President commands a cult-like loyalty particularly in the North, a development that could make his defeat difficult.

He called on opposition parties to come together and build a formidable union that would wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress.

“Buhari is not viewed as just a politician in the north: he is a religion and he commands a fanatical following and cult-like loyalty.

“That is what makes him such a dangerous foe and formidable adversary.

“Defeating him in 2019 will require courage, aggression, cohesion and ingenuity.”
