A former Minister of Works and Housing in the Late President Umaru Yar'Adua Administration, Hassan Lawal is dead. According to NAN, he died in the late hours of Saturday after a protracted illness at the Turkish Nizamye Hospital in Abuja. The report quoted a member of the family as saying that his burial will take place on Sunday morning at his home town, Keffi Local Government Area, in Nasarawa State according to Islamic rules.
Apart from Works and Housing, Lawal had also served as minister of labour and productivity, health minister, and works minister. He is survived by two wives, children and relatives.
