President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday cancelled the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.
According to a source in the State House, the President will instead meet with Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to address pressing security challenges confronting the country.
The source said the meeting which started this morning had in attendance the Minister of Defence, Brig Gen Mansur Dan-Ali, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, Cheif of Defence Staff, Gen Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
