Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, has slammed, Antony Martial saying he does not “understand the game”. Schmeichel was speaking after the Manchester Unites 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest, calling the manager, Erik ten Hag to consider dropping the Brazilian after his latest poor display.

Peseiro Names AFCON Squad

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has named Ahis final 25-man squad for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote’d’Ivoire. Peseiro will be heading to the tournament which is billed to run from Saturday, 13 January to 11 February 2024, with three (3) goalkeepers, eight (8) defenders, six (6) midfielders, and eight (8) forwards.

Court Gives Super League Go Ahead, Says UEFA, FIFA Have Limited Rights

The European Court of Justice [ECJ] has ruled in favour of the Super League and its backers, A22 Sports, argued that UEFA's prohibition of the would-be competition; a concept launched in April 2021, and its threatened punishments for participating clubs was an illegal monopoly under European competition law.

AFCON 2024: Côte d’Ivoire Seek To Strengthen Cooperation with Nigeria

Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Nigeria, Mr Kalilou Traore, has revealed that the 2024 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, will usher an opportunity for his country to further strengthen cooperation with Nigeria as partners in progress. Traore made this statement during an interview with newsmen today Sunday in Abuja, as the country’s preparation to host the AFCON tournament from Jan. 14 to Feb. 13, 2024 in underway.
