The national team coach of Croatia, Zlatko Dalic has said his side ran out of luck when they were drawn in Group D of the FIFA World Cup along with Nigeria, having prayed fervently to avoid the Super Eagles. According to Dalic, Nigeria is one of the best African sides and is feared by participating countries in the tournament. Speaking with reporters after the draw was made on Friday, Dalic said the Super Eagles is feared because of the young and fantastic players in the team.

“I know your team very well. They are a very good side. They finished the qualifiers unbeaten and are not afraid of anybody. I’m not very happy to have Nigeria in my group.

“All of their players are in Europe and they are very unpredictable to play against. It is our first game and it will be difficult for us to play against your team.

We now know our opponents and we must go and start work immediately, Apart from Croatia, Nigeria will also lock horns with Argentina and Iceland in Russia."
