Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger says he is confident that Mesut Ozil who has just over six months left on his current contract, would sign a new contract and remain in the club without further persuasion.  Wenger stated this in an exclusive chat with Sky Sports.  According to him
"I believe he wants to stay, he is not to be convinced [to sign a new contract.

"You want nobody to leave and you see where we stand on that. But at the moment, it's very difficult. Until the end of the season we know what it is, but after that, I cannot tell you."

Mesut Ozil has been locked in contract negotiations with the Gunners for months, but no agreement has emerged. His reluctance to sign a new deal has fueled speculation over a possible move to Manchester United or Spain.

According to 90 Minutes sport, as things stand, he will be able to leave as a free agent on 30th June, while the January window is Arsenal's last chance to command a transfer fee.

Apart from Ozil, Alexis Sanchez is also enmeshed in similar contract crisis at the club with strong rumour linking him with a move to Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain.
