Manchester United may have agreed a £75m deal with Everton for Romelu Lukaku according to ESPN FC. Contrary to claims that the deal would involve Wayne Rooney, the report stated that Rooney was not included in the deal.

The move for the Belgium striker became necessary following reluctance by Real Madrid to release Alvaro Morata. Initially, United had failed to bid for Lukaku following refusal by Everton to release their Talisman for less that £100m.

Chelsea has had some of its offers rejected by Everton recently, forcing the club to consider other options. The deal will now leave Chelsea FC in a desperate situation, having frozen their point man, Diego Costa out of the team for next season's campaign.
