Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez on Tuesday resumed training with his teammates on Tuesday after returning from Chile. Yesterday the club posted his picture on its twitter handles and wrote "look who is back to training". The tweet came moments after the player has announced his return to London on Instagram.
According to ESPN, he was originally expected to return to the club on Sunday after an extended holiday following his participation in the recently concluded Confederation Cup but extended his stay after announced he was sick.
Sanchez had refused to sign a new contract, fueling speculation that he wants to leave the club. Apart from Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG have all indicated interest in luring the prolific striker out of Arsenal. Currently, he has a single year left on his contract and could leave as a free agent if he refuses to sign a new deal.
Following his return, he is expected to play along with Mesut Ozil and new arrival Lacazette in the front line.
