Although Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger has reiterated his position that Chilean International, Alexis Sanchez is not for sale this summer transfer, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) is said to be readying a staggering £80m offer to lure him to France. This offer is coming after the League 1 club sealed a world record deal with Barcelona to facilitate the signing of Brazilian International, Neymar. The deal was reported to be in the region of over £200 million.
Sanchez who has rejected an improved deal that would have seen him earn £250,000 per week in Arsenal has indicated his interest to leave the club, with Manchester City and PSG being his preferred destination. If the PSG deal is consummated, he could earn a total of about £400,000 per week which is far above the deal being offered by Arsenal. Sanchez is believed to be reluctant to extend his contract because the club will not offer him
Sanchez is believed to be reluctant to extend his contract because the club will not offer him an opportunity to play in the Champions League this season having finished outside the traditional fourth position last season.
Sanchez has a single year left on his current contract. He could leave as a free agent next season if Arsenal fails to extend his contract or to accept offers from interested clubs.
Apart from Sanchez, PSG are also in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco. The club will now do battle with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
