Domestic airline operators in Nigeria have commenced the suspension of all flight operations over Coronavirus outbreak in the country. The suspension of operations is coming on the heels of an earlier memo from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) announcing the closure of all airports to international flights.
Airline operators including Air Peace, Arik Air, Aero Contractors, Azman Air and Dana Air have all released statements announcing the suspension of flight operations.
While Dana Air announced that it will suspend flight operations for two weeks with effect from Wednesday 25th March 2020, Air Peace informed that its suspension of flight operations will takeeffect from Friday 27th March 2020. According to the Airline, the suspension was done in the best interest of the nation, passengers and the entire workforce.Similarly, Arik Air, Azman Air, and Aero Contractors also announced the suspension of its operations from Friday 27th March 2020.
