Two families have reportedly sued the richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote and his companies over alleged killing of their members in accidents involving his company's truck. According to court papers filed before the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse and obtained by Punch, the accident occurred on January 9, 2018 along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The paper further claimed that the incident led to the death of 10 passengers in a commercial bus with registration number BDJ 410 YM.
The suit which was filed on behalf of the aggrieved families by the Lagos State Directorate of Citizens’ Right, prayed the court to grant each family the sum of N160m as damages against Dangote and his companies.
The court papers identified the deceased as Gbenga Ishola and Mrs. Nike Adeosun. While Mr. Tobi Ishola sued on behalf of Ishola’s family, Mr. Abiodun Adeosun sued on behalf the Adeosun’s family.
