Oxford Dictionary Adds Nigerian Pidgin In New Update

Twenty-nine (29) new Nigerian words and expression have reportedly been added to a recent update made by the Oxford English Dictionary. This was confirmed in a blog post on the dictionary’s website.

FG To Partner With Dundee University On Nano Technology

The Federal government through the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has on Thursday announced a partnership with University of Dundee, Scotland to develop a technical committee that aimed at focusing on the study of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Forensics and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Saturday said it has suspended the use of the National Identification Number as a requirement for registration in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The suspension also affected the Direct Entry registration for the year. Announcing this at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede attributed the decision to what he called technical reasons.

More Qualified Teachers To Be Recruited - Buhari

The National Universities Commission, NUC has on Thursday announced the phasing out of Mass Communication degree in Nigerian varsities to meet up with global educational advancements. The announcement was made by Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, Executive Secretary, NUC while speaking with journalists in Abuja, saying the degree will be split into seven different degree programmes.
