Buhari Pleas UAE Visa Ban on Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has pleaded with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government to lift its blanket visa ban on Nigerians. The president made the plea on Tuesday 14th February 2022 while on a condolence call with Mohamed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, on the death of his mother-in-law.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 5, comprising Edo, Delta and Bayelsa states, Lawan Tanko Jimeta is dead. He passed on Sunday morning at the Benin Teaching Hospital, Edo State after a brief illness. Jimeta’s death was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, SP Ahmed Wakil, in a terse Whatsapp message on Sunday.“Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. With a heavy heart but total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I wish to announce the death of A.I.G Lawan Tanko Jimeta. He died at the Teaching Hospital, Benin Edo State, this morning after a brief Illness,” Wakil wrote.

CDS: No Group Can Interfere With 2023 Elections In S’East

Military authorities have assured Nigerians that no group can interfere with the 2023 elections in the South East region of the country. Gen. 2023 Census Will Hold In Sambisa Forest - NPC Chairman

The chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Hon. Nasiru Isa Kwarra has disclosed that census will hold in Sambisa Forest despite the security challenges in the area. He said the commission would ensure people in the area are counted, despite the insecurity in the forest.
