A video has today emerged showing the abducted Kankara schoolboy in a bush pleading for a safe return. In the video, the boys were speaking for the terrorist demanding the government to abort any plan of the rescue operation, whether using vigilante of any security forces and should also shut down all school excluding Islamiyyah.
The video, which is believed to have been released by the terrorist, flanked all the boys in dirty sand covering their bodies under some scanty shrubs.
The boys visibly distressed with some of them weeping while others plead with a cracked voice for mercy from the Katsina state governor to come to their rescue.
One of them was made to face the camera who talked on behalf of the terrorist, while a voice from the background believed to be the voice of one terrorist said coming for rescue operation by security agency is an effort in futility.
The boy said in a shaky cracked voice, “You have to dissolve any gang of vigilantes and close any kind of schools, excluding Islamiyyah”.
Islamiyyah is a typical model school that is found in every township in the northern part of the country where children go to study the Qur’an after normal western school hours.
The boy in the video continues, “All the armies that have come here to help us, please send them back. They can do nothing to help us,” he continues, according to the script.
Behind him, some of the boys stand with hands folded in supplication.
“Please, you have to send all the soldiers and armies back, please sir,” he begs.
