Just In: President Tinubu Sacks NOA, NBC DG, NAN CEO, Others

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday sacked the heads of some government agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation. The President thereafter approved the appointment of eight new Chief Executive Officers of the affected Parastatals and Agencies, with immediate effect. They include the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Voice of Nigeria (VON), Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCN), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).

The President tasked the newly entrusted leadership in these sub-sectors to “innovate and create new opportunities for Nigerians to leverage upon through the effective reform of these key institutions of government which function” to unify Nigerians, reshape mindsets, and showcase the nation to the rest of the world.

Listed Below are the newly appointed heads of agencies:

i.               National Orientation Agency (NOA) — Director-General / CEO — Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu.

ii.             Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) — Director-General / CEO — Dr. Muhammed Bulama.

iii.            National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) — Director-General / CEO — Mr. Charles Ebuebu.

iv.            Voice of Nigeria (VON) — Director-General / CEO — Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace.

v.             Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) — Director-General / CEO — Dr. Lekan Fadolapo.

vi.            News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) — Managing Director / CEO — Mr. Ali Muhammed Ali.

vii.          Nigerian Press Council (NPC) — Executive Secretary / CEO — Mr. Dili Ezughah.

Director-General / CEO of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, got his tenure renewed.
