Oduah, Others Protest At Anambra PDP Primaries

Senator Stella Oduah on Monday, staged a protest at the venue of the PDP primaries in Anambra state over what she termed unwillingness of the party to listen to the yearnings of aspirants. Speaking in a telephone interview with newsmen, Mr Anayo Ekeanya, Special Adviser, Media to Oduah said that the senator was among four other aspirants who staged a protest in Awka.

INEC Approves Sept.30 For Eti-Osa Lagos Assembly Bye-Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday said the bye-election to fill the vacant Eti-Osa Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly would be held on Sept. 30. Mr Sam Olumekun, INEC’s new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Lagos State, announced the date at a stakeholders meeting attended by party leaders at the Lagos headquarters of the commission.

The Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of a sum of N7,646,700,000 allegedly belonging to the Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission linked the offence to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
