The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants including Omoreigbe Ogbeide-Ihama and Godwin Obaseki have agreed to settle their squabbles out of Court. Ogbeide-Ihama had initially sued the party's National Chairman, Uche Secondus, and seven others for allowing Obaseki to participate in the party's governorship primary without being screened by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) under the stipulated time frame. This led the court to restrain Obaseki from participating in the PDP governorship primary election.

However, Ogbeide-Ihama's lawyer, Ferdinard Orgbe at the resumed hearing today at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, informed the court that all parties in the case have agreed to opt for an out of court settlement.
