The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will conduct a verification for the recall of the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, on October 14.

Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, yesterday carried out his threat against journalists operating in the state, banning the Correspondents of THISDAY and Vanguard Newspapers, Amby Uneze and Chidi Nkwopara, from covering government house activities.
