Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan says no country is totally free from corruption. Jonathan stated this while addressing members of Forum of Ex-Speakers of Houses of Assembly at his Abuja residence on Thursday. He admitted that corruption was one of the serious challenges confronting the country but warned that the current approach used in the anti-graft war was faulty. He maintained that for the issue to be effectively addressed, the society must come up with reforms.

President Muhammadu Buhari devoted part of the 57th Independence anniversary speech to remind campaigners for the dismemberment of Nigeria of the horrendous experience of Nigeria’s civil war between 1967 and 1970.

Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, a Board of Trustee (BoT) member of People Democratic Party (PDP), says Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, cannot contest in the party’s primary poll for 2019 presidential election.
