The defending champions gave the Cameroonians a run for their money as they let the baskets in winning 3 of the 4 quarters to seal their progress to the semi-final. They will now face Senegal who beat Angola in a heavyweight encounter. The match will be played in Tunis on Friday.

 

In the first quarter, D’Tigers won 25 to 18 and also edged the Cameroonian side 27 to 25 in the second quarter. However, they fell 23 to 27 in the third quarter.

 

The Nigerians fought back to post a 31-21 win in the last quarter.
