On-loan Anderlecht loan forward, Henry Onyekuru, has played down talks about him joining another team in January, insisting that his parent club Everton has the final say on his next move.

Onyekuru has been linked with a move to Juventus and Atletico Madrid in the January window following his showing so far in the Belgian league.

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have announced that Andres Iniesta has signed a lifetime contract with the club, the 33 year old midfielder will become the first football player to agree a “lifetime contract” in the club’s history. Barcelona made the annoucement on their official website on Friday.

Nigeria is hoping to persuade Swansea City teenager Tammy Abraham to play for the Super Eagles rather than England. On loan from Chelsea, the striker was born in London but can play for Nigeria through his father. The 19-year-old has already played for England at youth level but can still switch allegiances because he has yet to play for the senior side. “We are working on getting Abraham,” said Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick.

Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy says he has no regret snubbing Arsenal to remain with the Foxes when they came knocking last summer.  According to BT Sports, the England forward hinted that the Champions League adventure with Leicester coupled with the inability of Arsenal to produce desirable results both at the domestic and continental levels vindicated his decision.

Premier League clubs have agreed the summer transfer window will end at 5pm on the Thursday before the start of the season. The vote was not unanimous even as clubs will still be able to sell players to other leagues until their transfer windows close. Managers have complained that signing players once the season is under way causes disruption to their squads and preparations.

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) new addition, Kylian Mbappe has described Chelsea as the first big European club that contributed significantly to his development. According to Telegraph, the brilliant forward hinted that he played alongside Tammy Abraham at Chelsea when he was barely 11-year-old stressing that his short spell at the club made a remarkable impact in his career.
