FIFA Rejects Leicester City's Registration Of Lisbon Midfielder

FIFA has rejected Leicester City's application to register midfielder Adrien Silva after the club missed the deadline by 14 seconds. The Foxes agreed to sign the midfielder from Sporting Lisbon for £22m near the close of the summer transfer window on 31 August.

Diego Simeone Extends Contract Atletico Madrid Contract To 2020

Atletico Madrid on Tuesday announced that Coach Diego Simeone has signed a new contract committing him to the club until June 2020. Simeone, who led Atletico to third place in La Liga last season and to the semi finals of the Champions League, has signed a two-year deal to replace the one due to expire in June 2018.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has called on the management of the club to facilitate the return of their embattled striker, Diego Costa to the team. Hazard made the call while speaking with Marca. According to him "Diego and I have been playing together for three years. We won everything together except the Champions League. Paris St-Germain and Manchester City have been accused of 'financial doping' by La Liga president Javier Tebas. Speaking at the Soccerex conference in Manchester, Tebas said the clubs had spent money from outside football and action should be taken to stop it.
