Chelsea Football Club have informed Leicester City that they will not paid a penny more than the £30m bid they have tabled to secure midfielder, Danny Drinkwater. According to the Sun, Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte revived his interest in the 27-year-old player after failing to land him last summer.

The report further stated that the renewed bid followed the exit to Nemanja Matic who had forced a move to Old Trafford and Nathaniel Chalobah who recently joined Watford ahead of the new season.

The ex-Manchester United Academy product had indicated interest to join Chelsea last season but was convince to stay by former coach Claudio Ranieri, after French International Ngolo Kante joined Chelsea. Drinkwater was part of the infamous 2015/2016 team that won the Premier League title.
