Sokoto state Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has appealed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), to embark on oil and gas exploration in the Sokoto Inland Sedimentary Basin with a view to establishing the volume and value of hydrocarbon deposits there.
