Tinubu, Okonjo-Iweala In Close Door Meeting In Aso Villa

The Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is in a closed door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential villa in Abuja. Okonjo-Iweala arrived at the Aso villa alongside the former Minister of State for Health, Dr. Ali Pate at about 2:50pm on Tuesday.

Okonjo-Iweala who was the former Minister of Finance during the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s led government earlier met with President Tinubu at the Global Pact Leadership Summit held in Paris, France in June.

Meanwhile, the details of the meeting is yet to be released, however it might not be unconnected to the economic and trade agenda of the new administration in Nigeria.

On the other hand, the meeting might be a follow up to President Tinubu inaugurated Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms at the State House in Abuja today.
