Cardi B 29 years old rapper excuses herself from social media after deleting her Twitter and Instagram accounts on 3rd April 2022 after being dragged for failing to attend the Grammy Awards. She expressed her worries after her fans went on Twitter to air their frustration for the WAP rapper not being in attendance despite being nominated for Best Rap Performance for her song "Up". The award instead went to Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar for "Family Ties. More so, involving her kids. She tweeted saying, "I need to protect myself."

Oscar Slap: Will Smith Resigns From Academy

The legend entertainer, Will Smith has put forward his resignation letter from the Academy following the slap he gave to, Chris Rock for making jokes about his wife, Jada during Oscar night last week. Smith, though has apologized for his irate behavior a day after the incident, admitting that he acted out of place and has left him embarrassed.

Bruce Willis Retires From Acting

Hollywood actor, Popularly known for his action hero roles, Bruce Willis has announced his retirement from acting due to a medical condition, his wife, Emma Heming Willis said. In a joint statement on Instagram, the actor's family announced his retirement, saying the actor has been diagnosed with Aphasia, a cognitive disease. Aphasia is a medical condition that impedes a person's cognitive ability, showing difficulty in speech or language. It is usually caused by stroke, severe head injury, brain tumour, or dementia.

CNN To Launch Streaming Service

Cable News Network (CNN) has on Wednesday announced that it is set to launch a news and entertainment streaming service, CNN+ before the end of the first quarter. Recall that in July 2021, the news company said that CNN+ will be an “additive experience that complements the core CNN linear networks and digital platforms to serve CNN superfans, news junkies and fans of quality non-fiction programming.” The cable network said the initial subscription will be discounted at $2.99 a month, offering a promotional price for people who sign up in the first four weeks but will later revert to a $5.99 monthly fee.

Davido Features In FIFA World Cup Soundtrack

Nigerian afro-pop singer David Adeleke popularly for his stage name Davido has been chosen to feature in the World Cup official soundtrack that will be holding in Qatar come November 2022. Davido alongside two foreign musicians in persons of Trinidad Cardona and AISHA sang the 2022 World Cup soundtrack titled 'Hayya Hayya' meaning Better Together.

Annie Idibia Calls Out Elder Brother For Making Harsh Accusations Against Her

Annie Idibia Nollywood actress, and wife of 2Baba, has called out her elder brother, Wisdom Macauley for accusing her of introducing him to drugs. Wisdom had, on Wednesday in a video via Instagram, accused Annie of enslaving him. According to him, Annie turn him into a slave and failed to pay him all his dues during the period he worked for her. He wrote "Hello Nigerians, my name is Wisdom Macaulay, I am the elder brother of Annie Macaulay Idibia. I’m crying out for help at this moment because my life is been threatened. I have been working with my sister for some time but she would never pay me my dues," he said.

History was made at the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards with Apple's indie family drama, CODA making history for winning best ensemble in a movie, and actor Troy Kotsur for best supporting actor, making him the first-ever deaf actor to win an individual SAG award. Kotsur, whose acceptance speech was signed said “Now I feel I’m finally part of the family.” “I know you all are artists, and I know you all know what it’s like to be a starving actor. Back then I used to sleep in my car, I slept in my dressing room backstage, I couch-surfed and all of that. You feel me, right? So thank you so much,” the actor added.
