Nigerian music acts, Wizkid, Tekno, Davido and Mr. Eazi, have been nominated for the 2017 BET Awards in the highly controversial “Best International Act: Africa Category.”

This year’s award would see Starboy Music boss, Wizkid, making the list in the same category for the second time in a row; while this serves as a debut appearance for Tekno and Mr. Eazi.

R-Kelly and Davido

Internationally acclaimed King of R&B, R. Kelly has remixed Davido’s chart-topping hit single, “If.” The Nigerian star singer shared snippets of the sounds via a video on his Instagram page.

The obviously elated Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O) remarked: “I’m dreaming”. Crazyyy!!!!!!! The legend R.Kelly remixed 'If' !! Whaaaaaaat!! I’m honored!! Backtobasics, stay true to your Culture! They will come!”

Davido had previously collaborated with international rappers Wale and Drake. He is also reported to be working on collaborations with meek Meek and Trey Songz.

Ayomide Labinjo has insisted that Davido is the father of his 4year-old daughter, Mitchell. Ayomide also revealed that her lawyer has sent a letter to Davido’s father since 20 April, 2017, to which the singer’s family are yet to respond.

The star-studded movie which is also Genevieve Nnaji's directorial debut wrapped up filming in the early hours of Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

"Lion Heart" stars Genevieve Nnaji, Chika Okpala, Steve Eboh, Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo, Onyeka Onwenu, Nkem Owoh, Kalu Ikeagwu, Jemima Osunde, Yakubu Mohammed and Sani Muazu.

The movie also stars Nigerian rapper and singer, Phyno and Peter Okoye.

The upcoming movie is written by C.J Fiery Obasi based on a screenplay by Ishaya Bako and Emil Garuba, and follows the story of an Igbo family that is into transport business.

The movie is executive produced by The Entertainment Network (TEN), which was founded in partnership with Chinny Onwugbenu.

No release date has been announced for the movie.
