Nigerian comedian, Abovi Ugboma popularly known as Bovi has identified Didier Drogba as the root cause of Arsenal woe in the English Premier League. Bovi who had taken up the responsibility of locating and dealing with the root cause of Arsenal woe, reiterated that he was a committed fan of Arsenal Football Club who wants the club to perform well, break the jinx and win trophies both locally and at Continental level.
On Thursday, he posted a picture of himself with former African Best Footballer and Chelsea player, Didier Drogba and wrote;
"As an arsenal fanatic, I took it upon myself to find the root cause of our woes. I realized it was a generational curse. So I’ve tracked down the origin! Of this problem. Here to break the yoke."
Bovi's post, though comic in nature may not be unconnected with Drogba's history against the club.
The Ivorian has scored 16 times against the Gunners. His last goal was scored in 2016 when the Gunners lined up against MLS All-Stars in San Jose. Speaking after the match, Drogba to MLS website
‘I want to say that I am lucky, but when you score 16 goals against them I don’t think it is luck no more. I don’t know, when you score once you always want to score and that is the spirit I have when I play every game, not only against Arsenal.’
