The Directorate of state security said it has arrested all members of the dreaded ‘BASALUBE’ kidnap gang operating in Kogi- Lokoja and Abuja – Kaduna highways. The Nigerian secret police made this known in a statement released and signed by its spokesman Tony Opuiy said the Service embarked on a series of joint operations across the country. One of those arrested is Lawal MOHAMMED, a suspected financier and armourer of the Basbule kidnap gang operating in Kogi State.

The Nigerian Army has reacted to widespread claim by one Sergeant David Bako that the recent abduction and eventual release of the Dapchi schoolgirls was hatched on April 19th, 2018 at the State House. Recall that Bako had alleged that the abduction was stage-managed and executed with N80 million.
Court Dismiss Corruption Charges Against Alleged Corrupt Judge Ngwuta
The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday dismissed all the 13-count charge of money laundering and passport fraud preferred against Sylvester Ngwuta, a Justice of the Supreme Court. Ngwuta is accused of receiving bribes and is standing trial for a 13-count charge at the court.
