ICPC: President Tinubu Appoints Chairman, Secretary

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Jigawa State, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu as the new Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

FG Establishes Border Protection Committee

The Federal Government (FG) through the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has established a 13-man committee to conduct an analysis of the country’s borders with the view of strengthening the border security of Nigeria. The inauguration of the committee was done by the Minister during a presentation on border management and control by a consultant at his office in Abuja.

Oil Theft: Ateke, Asari, Boyloaf, Others Meet In Rivers

Niger Delta ex-war lords including His Royal Majesty, Dr Ateke Michael Tom, the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom and the Sekuro of Niger Delta, Asari Dokubo, Ajube Bibopori, (Gen. Shootaside) and Victor Ben Ebikabowei, (Gen. Boyloaf) met in Rivers state to deliberate on resolution to oil theft in the country. The former militant leaders and key stakeholders from the six states of the Niger Delta region met on Saturday at the Palace of King Ateke, Okochiri Kingdom, Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Troops Rescue Kidnapped Victims In Kaduna 

Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued six kidnapped victims in Kaduna state while one bandit was neutralised in the course of its operation in the axis. The acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division Nigerian Army, Lt.-Col. Musa Yahaya, who confirmed the development in a statement issued in Kaduna, said that the victims were rescued on Friday. Yahaya revealed  that the ongoing clearance operation by the troops of the division had continued to yield positive results.
