FG Moves To Solve Herders/ Farmers Clashes, Sets Up Committee

President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Presidential Committee dedicated to the reform of the livestock industry and the provision of long-term solutions to recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the country. The President announced the establishment of the committee on Thursday in Abuja, following the submission of a report from the National Conference on Livestock Reforms and Mitigation of Associated Conflicts in Nigeria.

COAS: Sit-At-Home Has Ended In South-East

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has disclosed that the sit-at-home order imposed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South-East has ended. He made this revelation Tuesday during the COAS combined second and third-quarter conference.

FRSC Clarifies Protocol For Vehicle Impoundment

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has clarified a misinterpretation of media reports in circulation, which allegedly placed a complete ban on the impoundment of vehicles by personnel of the Corps; a directive issued by the Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu.

President Tinubu Orders Investigation Into recurring Boat Mishaps 

President Bola Tinubu has orderd an investigation into recurring boat mishaps in the country. The President expressed grief over the death of 41 people in three separate boat mishaps in Niger and Adamawa States within three days. The mishaps occurred on the 9 September in Njuwa lake in Yola, Adamawa State, 10 September in Mokwa of Niger State and 11 September in Gurin, Fufore area of Adamawa State.
