Insecurity: FG Considers Ban On Motorcycles, Mining Activities

The Federal Government (FG) has disclosed that it is considering placing a ban on the use of motorcycles and suspending mining activities in an effort to curb the activities of terrorists and also freeze their sources of funding and logistics being utilized to continue their criminal activities.

Airline Safety: FG Suspend Dana Air For Under Performance

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has disclosed that it has suspended Dana Airlines, Air Transport Licence, ATL and Air Operation Certificate (AOC) till further notice. The statement was made available yesterday, Wednesday through the office of the Director General of the NCAA, Capt Nuhu Musa. NCAA disclosed that its office had to suspend Dana Airlines after discovering the company could no longer cope with its financial obligation and safety of the passengers as stipulated by the law. According to the authority, the suspension was with immediate effect that is by midnight of 20th July 2022.

NLC Solidarity Protest: Bank/ Aviation Unions Threaten To Join Industrial Action

Following the lingering crises of the National Union of Nigerian University workers (ASUU) that have continued unabated for six months, the Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilot and Engineers (NAAPE) have threatened to join the Nigerian Labour Congress for the upcoming two days protest. In a similar manner, the National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees (NUBIFIE) have also threatened to shut down operations in solidarity with the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC to support the ASUU struggle.

NYSC Trust Fund Bill: Group Called On Buhari To Sign Document Into Law

The Centre for Social Justice, Equity, and Transparency (CESJET) has called on President Buhari to give his assent to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Trust Fund Bill that was just passed into law by the National Assembly to give it legal backing. CESJET Executive Secretary, Isaac Ikpa made the call on behalf of the group yesterday in Abuja while briefing newsmen saying the bill if become law is capable of bringing prosperity to the Nigerian youth.

NiMet Forecast 3-Day Cloudy, Rainy Day From Today Monday

The Nigerian metrological Agency (Nimet) has predicted cloudy and rainy weather conditions around Nigeria from Monday, 18th July to Wednesday, 20th July 2022. The information was released by the Agency yesterday in Abuja forecasted rain in the early morning Monday around Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, and Kastina states. More so, the report added that isolated rains are also expected in some parts of Bauchi, Kaduna, and Taraba which will follow the late afternoon thunderstorm.
