Former President Goodluck Jonathan has taken a swipe at the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo over his claim that the immediate past administration embezzled billions of Naira few weeks to the 2015 general elections. Recall that the Vice President had on Monday said N100 billion and a separate $289 million were embezzled by officials of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, a few weeks to the 2015 elections.

The All progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for securing the release of the recently abducted Dapchi schoogirls, saying the party has done what the former administration could not do with the Chibok incident. The APC in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said;

The National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress led by the National Chairman of the Party, Chief John Oyegun is currently meeting with APC senators at the National Assembly. It was gathered that those who attended the meeting from the APC are the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun; Vice National Chairman (South), Segun Oni, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi among others.

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to use his re-election to promote international peace and stability. Putin, whose country is having some sour relations with the West over the invasion of Crimea and the poisoning of a former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, with a nerve agent, won a resounding re-election for a fourth term on Sunday.
