Breaking: Sowore Finally Regains Freedom

The Department of States Services (DSS) following the Court order directing the office to release the convener of #RevolutioNow Protest, Omoyele Sowore and his co-accused, Olawale Bakare, the secret police has finally complied with the order.

This was confirmed by the Sahara Reporters, a media outlet owned and managed by Mr. Sowore himself.

 

An Abuja Federal High Court has today issued an order directing the secret police to release Mr, Sowore within the next 24hrs.

 

Delivering the order, the Judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu jointly in her order also directed the DSS to pay the sum of N100,000 to Mr. Sowore for failure to release him earlier on bail despite two court orders to that effect.

 

Meanwhile, Mr. Sowore trial was adjoined to December 6, for continuation.

 

Sowore has been under the custody of the DSS since he was picked by the secret police for calling revolution against the Federal government.
