Following the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Peoples Democratic Party says it has suspended its Presidential Campaign. The party made this known in a statement issued on Saturday by the chairman of the party and co-chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council, Uche Secondus.

A socio-cultural organization in the South-East, Njiko Igbo Forum, NIF, has condemned the endorsement of the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by Ohaneze Ndigbo, describing the development as absurd.
Dailypost reports that the Forum in a statement issued on Friday by Rev Okechukwu Obioha, the President of the NIF, considered the development as disturbing.

A faction of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State on Thursday expelled the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Senator Hope Uzodinma over alleged anti-party activities. The Chairman of the faction loyal to the embattled Governor of the State, Hon Daniel Nwafor, who announced the expulsion at the party’s secretariat, said that the action became necessary to save the party from disintegration.

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay on Thursday called on the All Progressives Congress, APC, to halt ongoing media attacks on Imohimi Edgal, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, as he has distinguished himself as a highly professional and dedicated officer.

Few hours after the Presidential candidates of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Obiageli Ezekwesili withdrew from the Presidential election slated for February 16, her running mate Alhaji Gani Galadima, on Thursday endorsed the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.
