One of the National Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu has described the current system of government in the country as mere civilian rule, stressing that the nation was yet to practice full-blown democracy.

The Federal Government has disclosed that over 753, 307 graduates have submitted applications for the N-Power recruitment, five days after the portal was reopened. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede made the disclosure on Sunday while addressing journalists in Asaba, Delta state.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned those promoting divisive tendencies in the country to desist from such acts as decisive steps will be taken against them. The nation's Secret Police issued the warning in a statement signed by Tony Opuiyo and made available to newsmen on Saturday.

The Oyo State Police Command has recovered eight vehicles from a robbery syndicate. The arrested suspects were Badejo Festus, aka Otinan, 22; Owaidiegwu Felix; and Nasiru Olanihun, 21.
Festus was released from Agodi prison in May.

The Association for Good Leadership Advocate, Peace and Development, Lagos (AGLPDL) has advised members of Northern Elders Forum (NEF) to commence immediate search for a credible presidential candidate ahead of the 2019 general elections in the event that President Muhammadu Buhari fails to seek reelection.
