The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Friday extended by 2 weeks the dateline for submission of application for the N-Power scheme. The Acting President stated this on Friday when he visited the N-Power Response Centre in Abuja.

Consequently, the portal for the scheme will now remain open to all categories of applicants except the N-Power Tax. Recall that successful applicants on the N-Power category have since commenced training and may be deployed across the country soon in furtherance of the administration's quest to increase revenue. The portal will now close on Thursday July 27th.

The social intervention scheme which started last year was reopened in 2017 with the target to recruiting additional 300, 000 applicants to the 200,000 already employed. However, statistics from the centre indicates that over two million applications have been submitted so far.

Meanwhile, the Acting President has assured that the selection process for the will be transparent.
