The med Makrafi-led National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is putting plans in place to organize a national convention in October. The Chairman, Niger state Chapter of the Party, Alhaji Tanko Beji made this known on Thursday while addressing party faithful in Minna, the state capital, after the Supreme Courtr declared Makarfi as the authentic national chairman of the party.
According to him, "the National Caretaker Committee has directed all state chapters of the party to nominate 30 members to serve in the national convention planning committee."
He further stated that those seeking political offices should indicate interest as the era of imposition had come to an end. “Anyone with ambition to seek political office should go to the people; the leadership will not allow imposition of candidates.”
