N-Power: Over One Million Applications Received In Less Than 48hrs – Ministry

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development has revealed, the Ministry has received over one million applications from across Nigerians in less than 48hrs that it had opened the N-Power (Batch C) portal. This was disclosed in a statement signed by, Rhoda Iliya, the Deputy Director in the ministry.

The enrolment exercise for the N-Power new applicants had commenced on June 26. Iliya hinted that even youth with no formal education can send in the application for a new aspect of the program which focuses on Agriculture.

In her statement which partly reads; “The Ministry wishes to reiterate that all young Nigerians between the ages of 18-35 with or without formal education can apply for a slot in the new program which would be very focused on Agriculture.

“The number of applications so far received is an indication of the number of our youth who need jobs and the confidence in the program. Iliya continued, “The Ministry will continue to collaborate with its technical partners to provide timely support to all applicants. The selection process would be fair and transparent while promising the public would be carried along.”

The N-power program is a social investment program inaugurated by the government of President Buhari since the inception of this administration.
The target of the program was to lift citizens out of poverty through capacity building, investment, and direct support.
