The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja. Blinken, arrived at the State House at about 06:53 pm and was received by Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who ushered Blinken into the President’s diplomatic room for a bilateral discussion.
This is Blinken’s first visit to President Tinubu since his assumption as the President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
Blinken is in Africa to strengthen ties with the continent and also visited the President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Outtara prior to his meeting with President Tinubu.
