The Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer's University, Ede, Prof. Zacheus Adeyewas says the Federal Government is owing the institution over $375, 000, being an amount of money spent on research on the prevention and containment of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). The Vice Chancellor made the disclosure on Monday at a pre-convocation conference held to announce the forthcoming 9th convocation ceremony.

The Adamawa House of Assembly on Monday impeached four of the principal officers, including the Deputy Speaker, Mr Sunday Peter, and the Majority Leader, Alhaji Musa Mahmud. The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris wants the presidency to consider an annual recruitment of 31,000 personnel into the force for the next five years. This according to him, would lead to meeting the United Nation’s ratio of one policeman to 400 persons, saying the personnel of the force are overstretched as he pegged the ratio at 1-600. He disclosed this at the passing out parade of men and women who are now police personnel.
