The Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (APCC), Rotimi Amaechi, has urged members of the party to ignore the opinion polls conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). According to Dailytrust, Amaechi made the call yesterday in Abuja, during the inauguration of the Directorate for Contact and Mobilisation of the campaign council.

The former Rivers State Governor was represented by the spokesperson of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, who also inaugurated the directorate on his behalf.

“opinion polls participated in by paltry 1,500 people who are probably PDP members or their friends is not a true reflection of forthcoming elections.

“As we mobilise our citizens, do not be discouraged by the voodoo polls. It is meant to discourage us but to encourage their supporters. We must not look at those voodoo polls. I can assure you that all polls we have conducted, we are far ahead of opposition. But we must not rest on our oars so that our supporters will not stay at home”.
