Out of favour Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa has verbally accepted to join English Championship side Hull City in January if he fails to win the trust of new coach Claude Puel.

Musa was close to joining the Championship side in the summer but uncertainty over the future of Riyad Mahrez made Leicester to hang on to him, and deny him the chance to link up with his former coach at CSKA Moscow, Leonid Slutsky.

Slutsky admitted few months ago that Musa was close to joining them in the summer, and hinted at the move happening in January, if the 24 year old fails to have a change in fortune at Leicester City, where he is yet to play a game for the first team this season.

“It’s a no brainer ‎for Musa, he is certainly open to a move away and for now his most likely destination is Hull City. He needs a place where he has the trust of the manager and he has that at Hull City”,

“He (Musa) was close to leaving in the summer but Leicester City and even Musa himself had a late change of mind. This time around he needs to move in January, the World Cup is here he needs game to make the Nigerian squad”.
