Armed Forces Remembrance Day: President Buhari, Osinbajo, Others In Attendance

President Buhari led top government officials and members of the diplomatic corps to honor Nigeria’s fallen heroes during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day held in Abuja on Friday. The event was held at the National Arcade, opposite Eagles Square, Three Arms Zone, Abuja. Also in attendance were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammadu and all the security chiefs. The highlight of the event was the traditional laying of wreaths in honor of the nation’s fallen heroes. The event also featured special prayer sessions for living and fallen heroes, gun salutes, a minute of silence for fallen heroes, signing of the anniversary register, etc.

President Buhari Called On Nigerians To Be Fair In Their Criticism Of His Administration

President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians especially the elite class to be fair when it comes to criticizing his style of administration through considering parameters the present government met on the ground when it took over the administration. Buhari made this call today at the Presidential Villa, Abuja when the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christians Pilgrim Commission, Reverend Yakubu Pam, paid him a courtesy visit.

Armed Forces Day: FG Orders Closure Of Roads, Federal Secretariat

The Federal Government has announced the closure of strategic roads in preparation for the 2021 Nigeria Armed Forces scheduled for Friday, 15th January 2021. Affected roads are those assessing the National Arcade, the Phase I, II, and III of the Federal Secretariat complexes, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.

Bandits Kidnap Seven In kadauri Community Of Zamfara State

About seven persons have been reportedly kidnapped in Kadauri, a community in Jabaka district, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, on Friday, when bandits stormed the village unleashing terror on the people. Confirming the incident the Public Relations Officer of Zamfara State Police Command, SP Shehu Mohammed, on Friday, said seven children of one Alhaji Sani Gyare and one other a female from a neighbouring house in Kadauri village, Maru LGA of the state were abducted when notorious bandits entered the village with motorcycles and weapons.
