The Nigerian President also commended the Liberian people on the peaceful conduct of the historic Presidential run-off election, stressing that “this is another plus on Africa’s democratic scoreboard.”

The Ministry of Petroleum Resources has reacted to reports of a purported memo written to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Minister, Ibe Kachikwu on the current fuel crisis rocking the country. In a statement issued by the Ministry's Director of Press, Idang Alibi, the Ministry said the content of the report was false, stressing that the report was diversionary. The statement assured that the Ministry was working assiduously to address the situation.

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), has confirmed that his loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari is not palatable to some party men.

The Governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari on Wednesday sacked the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Halimatu Sa'adiya Idris following his quest to bring politicians on board ahead of the 2019 general elections. Her sack was contained in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Abdu Labaran. The statement read;
