Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has called on politicians intending to contest the 2019 general elections to shun 'do or die' politics in the interest of the country. The Former President made the call on Saturday in Calabar at the Presentation of a book titled "Stepping Forward with Uti J.D Agban," written by Goody Jeddy Agba and Okoi-Uyouyo.

The Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha is set to unveil 10 additional statues in the state, few weeks after the state organized massive ceremony to unveil the statues of the Presidents of South Africa and Liberia. South East Will ‘Benefit Tremendously’ From 2018 Budget – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the people of the South East that the region will benefit tremendously from the 2018 budget, especially in the area of infrastructure. President Buhari gave the assurance on Wednesday in Awka, the Anambra State capital during a two-day working visit to the region.

The Nigerian Navy has contracted a local firm, Epenal to manufacture patrol and gun boats to assist the agency effectively man the nation's water way especially in the wake of renewed hostility in the Niger Delta region. The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ette Ibas made the disclosure on Tuesday in Calabar, the Cross River state capital. He hinted that the Navy recently took delivery of 16 such boats adding that the boats were among the 20 that were recently commissioned in Delta state.
