Fg Reaffirms Position On New Minimum Wage, Insists On "No Work, No Pay"

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige on Wednesday reaffirmed Government's position on the now-controversial New Minimum Wage.

The Minister while addressing State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting insisted on the payment of N24,000 per month as the proposed new wage, a development that may trigger renewed agitation by Organized Labour.

The current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan Kukah, has refuted claims that he was at Abeokuta on October 11, 2018, to endorse Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for 2019 general elections.

The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has debunked media reports that the Presidency is not happy with the way the state conducted the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries. The Governor in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar said the exercise in the state was more transparent than the ones conducted by other political parties.
