A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention Committee, Mr Preye Aganaba has said that the Bayelsa State Government has denied the party a permit to use the multipurpose hall within the stadium for its state congress. Aganaba, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, also alleged that the Bayelsa Government was doing everything possible to frustrate the conduct of APC State Congress slated for today.

The newly acquired Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Mi-35M helicopter gunships have successfully unleashed their firepower on boko haram Terrorists at a camp, 9.7km South East of Bonne in the on-going OPERATION THUNDER STRIKE. The Director Public Relations and Information, NAF Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya noted that an earlier Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance report had indicated the significant presence of terrorists in the camp, following which Mi-35M helicopter gunships were deployed to attack them on 15 May 2018.

An FCT High Court sitting in Maitama on Thursday adjourned indefinitely the trial of Senator Dino Melaye, who is being tried for allegedly giving false information. NAN reports that Melaye, Senator representing Kogi West, was dragged to court on two counts bordering on giving false information, offences he denied committing.
